On Friday last week, as a result of the destruction of the dam at PJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih" there was a leak of technical water with a volume of about 80 thousand cubic meters. Water got into the regulating tank # 1, # 2, as well as into the pipeline. This was reported by the press service of the State Environmental Inspection of Ukraine.
Specialists of the State Environmental Inspection reacted after the accident and arrived at the enterprise to examine and monitor the situation. So, when examining the place of emergency, the inspectors discovered a leak of a significant amount of contaminated industrial water to a nearby land plot. Land category - for agricultural purposes.
Inspectors have taken soil samples for laboratory research. In case of confirmation of the fact of land pollution, the State Environmental Inspection will calculate the losses.
The circumstances and causes of this emergency are currently being established by the State Labor Commission.
