On January 31, 2022, Ukrzaliznytsia accepted another five new passenger compartment cars manufactured by Kryukov Carriage Works PJSC. Since November 2021, Kremenchug car builders have already delivered 25 cars to Ukrainian railways and completed the order for 100 units by a quarter.
Five new compartment cars, as well as two sleeping cars received in the last batch, will replenish train No. 15/16 with the Kharkiv-Rakhiv route.
Additional changes have been made to the design of the cars received in this batch to increase convenience: contrast markings for people with visual impairments, an additional lighting control panel has been installed in the compartment, contactless touch buttons for flushing the toilet are being tested.
In addition, the cars are equipped with air conditioning, a cooler with drinking water, a compartment door alarm, a toilet occupancy indicator, and a conductor call button. The cars have an increased volume of the luggage compartment and are equipped with video surveillance systems in the common areas of the cars, vacuum toilets, changing tables, sockets and USB ports near each seat.
It is worth noting that, simultaneously with the delivery of products, representatives of UZ and specialists of the plant discussed the features of cars adapted for the carriage of passengers with disabilities, which the customer wants to see in the next batches. There was also a meeting with the heads of factories supplying electrical equipment (Khartron Express Kharkiv) and batteries (ADS Kiev), during which the parties discussed the possibility of improving their products to increase the efficiency of passenger car life support systems.
Recall that at the end of 2021, Ukrzaliznytsia JSC received 20 new passenger cars from the Kryukov Carriage Works - 15 compartment and 5 sleeping cars, running today on the Mariupol-Rakhiv and Kharkiv-Mariupol routes. By agreement with KVSZ PJSC, by July 2022, Ukrzaliznytsia JSC will receive another 31 compartment cars, 7 SV cars, 20 compartment cars for transporting passengers with disabilities in a wheelchair, as well as 17 compartment cars with a compartment for the head of the train and the ability to transport passengers with a disability in a wheelchair.
