The metallurgical plant "Kametstal" in the city of Kamenskoye, Dnepropetrovsk region of Ukraine, created at the facilities of the Dnipro metallurgical plant, resumed the production process of smelting iron after a temporary stoppage of all production as a result of shelling by Russian troops.
“Diagnostic and repairs to the main equipment of Kametstal, caused by Russian attacks on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine. Currently, the company produces pig iron at one blast furnace,” the press service of the company said.
It is also noted that the further resumption of steel and rolled products production will largely depend on the level of power supply shortage in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine .
As reported, at the end of November, the Kametstal plant stopped work due to power supply restrictions as a result of damage to the energy infrastructure of Ukraine.
Kametstal was created on the basis of the PJSC Dnipro Coke Plant "(GKKhZ) and the CEC of PJSC" Dnipro Metallurgical Plant ". It is part of the group of companies of Ukrainian businessmen Rinat Akhmetov and Vadim Novinsky Metinvest B.V. (Metinvest).
