The Government of Ukraine has announced an open competition for 25 category "A" civil service positions. According to the Department of Information and Public Communications of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, more than 400 candidates applied for 17 vacancies. Competitive selection has already begun for many vacancies. Another 8 vacancies are awaiting professional managers.
“The reboot of the civil service continues. We want to attract the best professionals in the country to top positions. To do this, we have simplified the tender procedure - we have reduced the paperwork, from now on submission of documents for category A takes place only online - through the career.gov.ua portal, ”stressed Dmitry Dubilet, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
He added that the government plans in the near future to optimize the list of documents that a candidate must submit.
Applicants for top positions in the civil service undergo mandatory testing for knowledge of a foreign language, Ukrainian legislation, as well as for analytical skills and verbal thinking. In addition, the selection participants perform situational tasks and are interviewed.
The Senior Civil Service Commission proposes a shortlist of 5 candidates with the highest total score for the final interview. For maximum transparency, video recording is carried out at each stage of the selection.
“The positions for which we are conducting the competition are a serious challenge. It will not be easy, because a lot needs to be changed in almost every government body. But this is a very interesting challenge, believe me. We see that a lot of cool and ambitious professionals are being nominated for the competitions, ”the minister notes.
