Industrial production of Donetsk region (excluding part of the temporarily occupied territory) in January-September 2019 compared to January-September of the previous year increased by 4.0%. As reported in the Main Department of Statistics in Donetsk region, 25 October, September production volume was 0.7% more than in August 2019 and 9.2% more than in September 2018.
Among the main industrial activities of the region in January-September 2019, compared to the same period in 2018, the volume of manufactured products increased in the production of food products, beverages and tobacco products by 1.5%, in the production of rubber and plastic products, and other non-metallic mineral products - by 2.7%, textiles, clothing, leather, leather goods and other materials - by 4.6%, mining and quarrying - by 6.8%, production of chemicals and chemical products - by 9 , 4%, mechanical engineering - by 16.4%.
Compared to January-September 2018, production output in metallurgical production and production of finished metal products decreased by 1.3%, production, supply and distribution of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning - by 2.7%, coke production and refined products - by 9.6%.
In September 2019, compared to the previous month, an increase was provided in the production, supply and distribution of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning by 1.1%, mining and quarrying - by 2.2%, mechanical engineering - by 5 , 4%, production of food products, beverages and tobacco products - by 16.3%.
September production decreased compared to August 2019 in the production of chemicals and chemical products by 3.0%, in the production of rubber and plastic products, other non-metallic mineral products - by 3.2%, in metallurgy and production of finished metal products - by 4.6%, production of coke and petroleum products - by 4.8%.
In September 2019, compared to the same month in 2018, an increase was ensured at enterprises of most types of activities: in metallurgical production and production of finished metal products - by 2.4%, in the production of food products, beverages and tobacco products - by 3.6% %, production, supply and distribution of electricity, gas, steam and conditioned air - by 7.0%, mining and quarrying - by 10.6%, production of chemicals and chemical products - by 17.9%, mechanical engineering - by 33.4%.
Production output decreased compared to September 2018 in the production of rubber and plastic products, other non-metallic mineral products by 4.4%, in the production of coke and petroleum products - by 13.9%.
Raw coal production in January-September 2019 increased by 14.6% compared to January-September of the previous year and amounted to 9.7 million tons. The volume of hard coal, including the shipped raw coal and beneficiation products, amounted to 8.2 million tons, which is 14.2% more compared to January-September 2018.
Coke production in January-September 2019 amounted to 3.6 million tons, which is 9.4% less than in January-September 2018.
Pig iron production in January-September 2019 amounted to 6.0 million tons, which is 3.0% less than in the corresponding period of the previous year. Steel production, amounting to 6.1 million tons, increased by 1.7% compared to January-September 2018. The output of hot-rolled flat products in January-September 2019 increased by 5.7% compared to the same period in 2018, cold-rolled products decreased by 3.3%.
Electricity in January-September 2019 generated 11.0 billion kWh, which is 0.3% less than in January-September 2018.
