A three-story mine cage will operate in the Yubileiny mine and will simultaneously be able to deliver 126 miners to the surface.
The main part of the cage was manufactured and assembled at the DMZ: the first and second floors of the body and the frame on which the cage body is attached.
To carry out this important order, the company received permission from the State Labor Service of Ukraine.
The cage elements were manufactured and assembled by a specialist from the Specialized Metallurgical Equipment Repair Shop of the DMZ.
Last week we completed the control assembly of the cage. The finished structure is 11 meters high and weighs more than 20 tons. All elements of the cage were marked, because they would transport it disassembled and reassemble it at the mine.
From the beginning of the work, Sukhaya Balka representatives kept the process under control: they assessed the quality of parts, welds, etc. On October 10, representatives of the customer visited the enterprise for final acceptance of the cage. One of these days the equipment will go to Krivoy Rog. There the manufactured DMZ structure, the third floor of the cage will be installed and other preparatory work will be carried out.
It is expected that the new cage will operate for at least 5 years.
We would like to remind you that in the spring of 2024, the DMZ first manufactured a mine skip for the Yubileiny mine. The successful completion of this work was the basis for entrusting the company with a more complex task: the manufacture of a mine cage.
