Economic and sectoral reforms have led to significant achievements, such as the budget law, custom, market deregulation, public procurement and health care, although the latter has been slower. Reforms remained limited in the field of intellectual property rights.

From 2014, the EU together with European financial institutions has mobilized unprecedented support package in the amount of more than € 15 billion in grants and loans to support reforms in Ukraine.
