In Vienna is the fourth day of work on the harmonization of the text of the agreement on the transit of Russian gas through the territory of Ukraine.
As told in OOO "Operator GTS of Ukraine" (OHTSU), today can be approved the final versions of agreements, namely:
1) technical cooperation agreements between the Operator of the GTS and Gazprom.
2) commercial agreements on the organization of transit through the territory of Ukraine between Naftogaz and Gazprom.
3) the settlement agreement on the settlement of mutual lawsuits over contracts in 2009 between Naftogaz and Gazprom.
the Negotiations on gas transit are already the fourth day yesterday, finished it late at night.
Head of Board NAK "Naftogaz Ukraine" Andrew KOBOLEV said that the talks have made some progress, but the agreed text of the agreement as of yet: "the fight is over every comma".
on Friday Evening the representative of Gazprom has informed on payment to Naftogaz USD 2.9 billion awarded by the Stockholm arbitration on the dispute about the transit contract.
Signed on 20 December in Minsk the Protocol of the intergovernmental Ukraine-Russia-the European Commission envisages a package agreement with Gazprom to pay Naftogaz 2.9 billion dollars according to the decision of the Stockholm arbitration, the failure of the parties to the existing lawsuits, including the settlement of the fine of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine for $ 7.4 billion, and the signing of the transit agreement for five years (2020 to 65 billion cubic meters, 2021-2024 years - 40 billion cubic meters) with the possibility of renewal for ten years.
