This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Alexey Goncharuk during a meeting with Executive Vice-President of the European Commission on "the European green deal" Frans Timmermans in the framework of the working visit to Brussels.

under the Green deal, the EU will review the current targets for reducing carbon emissions by 2030 from 40% to 50-55%.

Ukraine is already developing its second national a contribution in accordance with the Paris agreement and the package of draft laws on the national model of emissions trading. We have already started to implement the Ukrainian legislation to European standards", - said Alexey Goncharuk.

the Prime Minister informed the European Commissioner about the intention to fully integrate into the European energy system (electricity ENTSO-E) until 2023.
