General assembly of the An-178 aircraft fuselage has begun at the ANTONOV State Enterprise for delivery to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Peru. Recently, the nose of the fuselage (F-1) was installed in a common assembly slipway, where the floor, frames and side skins of the cargo compartment were already placed.
As reported, to date, the production of the central part of the wing, its left and right cantilever parts, and the tail unit has also been fully completed. Two engine pylons are ready for installation on the aircraft fuselage.
In total, 25 Ukrainian companies and about 30 European and North American suppliers are involved in the supply chain of units for the new An-178. A large Ukrainian bank and three foreign banking and financial institutions are involved in organizing the enforcement of the contract.
Let us remind you that the configuration of the An-178 aircraft, manufactured under the contract concluded between the State Enterprise GHVP "Spetstechnoexport" and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Peru, will allow the transportation of personnel (100 people), the transportation of passengers (80 people), delivery of goods (up to 18 tons), evacuation of patients on a stretcher (40 people) with the possibility of providing medical assistance by accompanying medical staff.
