On the territory of the genichesky district is the repair of the road of regional significance Ivanovka – Genichesk. How reports the edition "news of Kherson region", destroyed the roadbed covered with slag from blast furnaces – waste metallurgical and foundry.
Local residents fear that the new technology of repair of the highway may harm the environment and health of citizens living near such a road surface.
Recall that this type of repair of roads in Ukraine was announced by the Ministry of infrastructure as a strategic step for import substitution in the Russian bitumen.
"This decision of the Government, in particular, allows to get rid of dependence on imports from the Russian Federation of building materials in particular bitumen. It will also allow you to save money during road works, quality will be at the proper level", - said in December 2019, the Minister Vladislav Crickley.
at the same time it was decided to use in the repair and construction of Ukrainian roads is not less than 10% of metallurgical wastes.
