In may 2020 the Ukrainian port "South" broke its March record and provided shipment of 2.1 million tons of cargo, which is 80 percent more than the same period last year and 86% above target, said the Minister of infrastructure of Ukraine Vladislav Crickley.
In may of this year processed 27 977 gondolas. It is 53% more than in the same period of 2019. 959 gondola was unloaded on may 31, which means updating the previous maximum score of 890 units. In total, according to the load per day was processed 1056 gondolas with SAM, ZRO, coal, etc.
the Main cargo handling became ore - almost 1.5 million tons. Handling two million tons occurred on may 31 with a load of ore on Capesize KSL Santiago. In may the "South" took 16 vessels type Capesize. It's 2 times more than in the same period last year.
Export accounted for 75% of the total volume of transshipment. Imports include coal (169,2 thousand tonnes) and bentonite clay (125 thousand tons). During the month, through the port "South" was 162 thousand tons of transit and 60.9 thousand tons of cabotage. Also, the company continues to increase the number of processed tonnage bulk carriers.
we will Remind, for the first quarter of 2020, the port "South" has reached a historic high of handling almost 4.6 million tons. This is 50.7% more than in the corresponding period last year. However, a significantly increased handling cars and ships attained a record rate of unloading of gondola cars per day (857 units). In January-March were processed 67 245 cars and 62 vessels, including 36 ships Capesize.
