Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises in January-September this year reduced the production of general rolled products, according to the operational data of the association of enterprises "Ukrmetallurgprom", by 2.2% compared to the same period last year - to 13.794 million tons.
In the first nine months of 2010, steel production in Ukraine decreased by 6.2% - to 15.386 million tons, pig iron - by 1.5%, to 15.248 million tons.
In September, the metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine produced 1.694 million tons of pig iron, 1.703 million tons of steel, 1.519 million tons of rolled products, while in August - 1.858 million tons of pig iron, 1.887 million tons of steel, 1.690 million tons of rolled products.
As reported, at the end of 2019, Ukraine reduced steel production by 1% compared to 2018 - to 20.848 million tons, production of general rolled products - also by 1%, to 18.387 million tons, pig iron smelting in the country fell by 2% , up to 20.064 million tons.
