At pre data of Enterprises "Ukrmetallurgprom", in January 2020, the Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises produced of 1.80 million tons of steel, which is 13.3% higher than in December 2019, but 2.7% less than in January 2019. The production of iron increased in comparison with the previous month by 5.5%, but decreased year-on-year by 5.1%, to 1.70 million tonnes, while production of rolled products increased compared with December by 12.5% and 4% compared to January 2018 to 1.63 million tons.
In 2019 the mining and metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine was smelted 20,848 million tons of steel, which is 1.2% less than in 2018.
as of January 15, 2020, from the current major production facilities were in service: 16 out of the 21 blast furnaces, 8 open hearth furnaces of 9, 11 of the 16 converters, 5 of the 15 furnaces and 15 of 15 machinery billet continuous casting.
In late January, President OP "Ukrmetallurgprom" Alexander Kalenkov savilin the immediate future expectations of the market is rather pessimistic.
