The Naftogaz Exploration and Production Division has launched a new gas treatment unit (GTU) at the Svyatogorsk unconventional gas production field. And the gas brought to the required standards began to be supplied to the system of main gas pipelines. The head of Naftogaz Andrey Kobolev told about this on his Facebook page.
Recall that the Svyatogorsk field is located in the middle of the Yuzovskaya area recently acquired by Naftogaz.
To make this launch possible, the specialists of the Naftogaz Exploration and Production division, in addition to commissioning a new GTU, built 26 km of the gas pipeline and connected three wells. Their peculiarity is that they are drilled into the so-called tight reservoirs. That is, in rocks with low permeability, from which gas production is much more difficult. But it is possible if you apply modern technology.
According to the head of Naftogaz, both tight gas production and the development of Yuzovka are one of the key projects of the Naftogaz resource base development strategy developed last year. Teams from the Naftogaz Exploration and Production and Technical Support divisions are actively involved in the implementation of these projects.
