A regular meeting of the Working Group on the establishment of the Center for Certification of Products from Special Steels, Alloys and Metallurgical Materials Science, headed by Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Yuriy Petrovsky, took place on the territory of the State Enterprise "Lutsk Repair Plant" Motor ".
The meeting participants approved the final version of the Regulation on the Center for Certification of Products from Special Steels and Alloys and Metallurgical Materials Science (hereinafter referred to as the Center), discussed possible sources of funding for updating the fleet of devices necessary for certification, modernization of existing equipment and reconstruction of premises for hosting the Software Center with the requirements of the relevant standards.
The State Enterprise "UkrNIISpetsstal", on the basis of which the Center is being created, should start developing a package of documents required for certification of the Center in accordance with international standards.
The members of the Working Group noted the importance of creating in Ukraine a certification body for products made of special steels designed to meet the needs of the defense, energy, aviation, space and other strategic industries of Ukraine. The center will also contribute to the implementation of the policy of import substitution chosen by the Government, primarily for the needs of the military-industrial complex, the development of its own industry and preservation of the maximum localization of production, which will allow the production of a national product with high added value in Ukraine.
The Working Group also agreed to continue the practice of holding meetings on the territory of industry enterprises to consider problematic issues related to their activities.
The meeting at the State Enterprise "Lutsk Repair Plant" Motor "was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Strategic Industry, the Institute for Problems of Materials Science named after I.M. Frantsevich National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, National University "Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic", Institute of Electric Welding. EO Paton National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, enterprises "UkrNIISpetsstal", "Lutsk Repair Plant" Motor "," Design Bureau "Yuzhnoye" them. M.K. Yangelya "," Motor Sich "," NPKG "Zorya" - "Mashproekt", "Ivchenko-Progress". They were joined by specialists from PJSC Arcelor Mittal Kryvyi Rih and JSC Sumy plant Nasosenergomash.
As a reminder, the Working Group on the establishment of the Center for Certification of Products from Special Steels, Alloys and Metallurgical Materials Science was created in November 2020 by order of the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine.
