On March 25, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladislav Krikliy, an online meeting was held with the leadership of the State Enterprise "Electrotyazhmash" and Ukrzaliznytsia. Dmitry Sennichenko, Chairman of the State Property Fund, also took part in the event.
The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation in updating the rolling stock of UZ. For many years, "Electrotyazhmash" supplied products for railway transport for export, but did not have accreditation to participate in tenders to renew the rolling stock of Ukrzaliznytsia. The certification of the enterprise, which is now being completed, will allow Electrotyazhmash to participate in tenders related to overhaul and supply of spare parts for electric motors to locomotives of Ukrzaliznytsia.
The meeting participants also discussed the further implementation of the roadmap, which provides for cooperation between the State Enterprise "Electrotyazhmash" and the Ministry of Railways in accordance with the Concept for the development of the locomotive fleet of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" until 2023.
