A large-scale modernization of the carbamide production unit over the past 10 years has begun at Cherkassk Azot, which is part of Dmitry Firtash's Group DF nitrogen business.
According to the press service of Group DF, capital investments in the project will exceed UAH 165 million. According to the business plan, the project will be completed in 45 days.
“The modernization of the urea plant will be the largest project for the plant in the last 10 years. The company makes money, the shareholder continues to make capital investments and modernize key industrial sites. Modernization of the urea shop is a large set of measures aimed at increasing the capacity of the shop and achieving energy savings. We will publish the exact figures for the new capacity of the workshop after the implementation of the project and the restoration of the workshop, ”comments Vitaly Sklyarov, Chairman of the Management Board of PJSC“ AZOT ”.
The overhaul of the workshop will be carried out by the efforts of all services of the urea workshop, other services of the enterprise, as well as contractor companies (IG "Archi-BUD" and "Professional", specializing in the repair and replacement of large-scale technological equipment in the chemical industry) .
In 2020, UAH 324.1 million was invested in Cherkasy Azot.
Cherkasy "Azot" is the largest producer of mineral fertilizers in Ukraine. In 2020, the enterprise produced 1 million 748 thousand tons of nitrogen fertilizers. In the 1st quarter of 2021, the enterprise produced 511.7 thousand tons of nitrogen fertilizers.
