The State Ecological Inspectorate of Ukraine has completed the calculation of losses for the contamination of the territory found at Metinvest - Kryvyi Rih Mechanical Repair Plant LLC. The company was presented with a claim for voluntary compensation for damage caused to the state in the amount of almost half a million hryvnia. This was reported by the press service of the State Environmental Inspection of Ukraine.
The State Ecological Inspectorate has provided Metinvest-KRMZ LLC with an order on the obligation to comply with the permit conditions for the emission of pollutants into the air. Also, the enterprise must ensure the implementation of the city environmental program to conduct research on possible emissions of pollutants from the use of lignosulfonate in production activities.
We remind you that during the inspection of Metinvest-KRMZ LLC, the State Environmental Inspection found that construction waste was being placed on the ground near the administrative building of the mechanical assembly shop without appropriate permits.
Previously it was reported that the State Environmental Inspection counted more than 450 million hryvnias in a fine for violation of environmental legislation by the metallurgical enterprise ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih.
