Unique cabinet gas regulators from the Ukrainian company RGC Production, which are designed to work with hydrogen, are being tested these days at a special test site of Ivano-Frankovskgaz JSC in Bohorodchany.
Cabinet gas regulators and one gas metering unit manufactured by RGC Production will be tested with a mixture of 20% hydrogen and 80% natural gas.
Tests will answer - the equipment of the Ukrainian manufacturer is capable of working with hydrogen. This is necessary for the certification of equipment and entry into European markets. The testing process of RGC Production products is supervised by specialists of the world leader in certification and quality control of processes and products Bureau Veritas.
“Within the framework of the hydrogen project of the Regional Gas Company, for the second year in a row, we have been conducting research on the effect of a gas-hydrogen mixture on gas distribution networks and gas appliances. Such experiments will help prepare gas distribution networks for reconstruction with the possibility of working with clean types of energy, "says Igor Vysochansky, Technical Director of Ivano-Frankovskgaz.
Tests of gas control equipment complexes for the ability to operate on gas-hydrogen mixtures will be held at five hydrogen test sites in Zhytomyr, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Volyn and Ivano-Frankovsk regions. All gas reduction stations are manufactured at RGC Production plants and equipped with H2-ready Pietro Fiorentini regulators, which are certified to work with a 20% hydrogen mixture from the manufacturer.
