Severstal Supports Educational Course for Socially Oriented Non-Profit Organizations

PJSC Severstal has become a partner of the educational course “International cooperation of NGOs. Creation and implementation of international projects ", which takes place online from October 29 to December 22, 2021.

The free program is designed for employees of socially oriented NGOs from all regions of the country. As a result, they will learn how to create projects of an international scale. In total, 101 NGOs of Russian NGOs from 31 cities applied for training.

The course is conducted as part of the educational partner program “School for the Development of International Non-Profit Organizations”, founded by ASI Consulting, the National Network of the Global Compact Association and representatives Russian business, including Severstal, with the support of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo), the Agency for Social Information and the Center for Sustainable Development and ESG Transformation of MGIMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

October 29 - on the first day of training - with the support of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, an orientation meeting with the course participants took place. Natalya Poppel, Advisor to the General Director for Sustainable Development of Severstal, took part in it, talking about the company's best practices in this area and expressing wishes for success to the participants of the course. The course is attended by employees of the Severstal corporate charitable foundation "Dorogak dom", as well as ANO "Agency for Urban Development" (Cherepovets).

During the course, students will gain new knowledge about the specifics of communication with partners and business, the possibilities and criteria for the selection of Russian grant competitions on the topic of international cooperation. Also, workshops will be held with representatives of NGOs who have had experience of successful implementation of international projects, and with representatives of grant-making organizations.

Graduation projects will be defended at the end of January 20221.

All students who have successfully completed their training and defended their graduation projects will be able to participate in the competition “Accelerator of International Projects of Russian SO NPOs”, which is planned to be held in 2022 with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo.
