The title "Professional engineer of Russia" was awarded to Deputy head of production and technical Department of the branch "Production of polymetals" Aleksandru tihomirovo.

all-Russian competition "engineer of the year" organised by the Russian Union of scientific and engineering public associations, the International Union of scientific and engineering public associations, Academy of engineering Sciences named after A. M. Prokhorov, Interregional public Fund to promote scientific and technological progress supported by the government of the Russian Federation. The purpose of this largest in Russia the project is to disseminate best practices and achievements of the engineering staff, the best in their field. By the end of 2019 awards received 244 of the participant in the nomination "Professional engineers" and 162 specialists in the nomination "Engineering art of young".

The applications must contain a description of the achievements of the candidate in professional activities, lists of published scientific papers, lists of inventions and patents.
