For the specified data Association of enterprises" Ukrmetallurgprom ", in January - April 2021, metallurgical plants of Ukraine produced:
- agglomerate - 11.04 million tons (107.0% versus January-April 2020);
- bulk coke (6% moisture content) - 3.25 million tons (101.1%);
- pig iron - 7.07 million tons (109.0%);
- steel - 7.14 million tons (107.2%);
- rolled steel - 6.39 million tons (107.0%);
- pipe metal products - 0.29 million tons (105.2%).
As of May 13, 2021, of the main operating production facilities, 17 out of 21 blast furnaces, 7 out of 8 open-hearth furnaces, 12 out of 16 converters, 5 out of 15 electric furnaces and 15 out of 17 continuous casting machines are in operation.
Provision of production with basic raw materials and energy resources
Iron ore raw materials:
Provision of metallurgical enterprises with Ukrainian iron ore raw materials in January - April 2021 was carried out in accordance with the needs of metallurgical production. Iron ore was not imported by import. Exports of iron ore raw materials for 4 months of 2021 amounted to 14.21 million tons (92.0% compared to the same period in 2020).
Coking Coals:
For 4 months of 2021, 4.40 million tons of coking coal were supplied to Ukrainian coke-chemical enterprises (101.4% compared to January-April 2020), of which:
- Ukrainian origin - 1.27 million tons (100.3% compared to the same period in 2020);
- imported - 3.13 million tons (101.9% compared to January-April 2020).
The share of imported coals in the total supply in January-April 2021 amounted to 71.0% against 70.7% in the same period in 2020.
Cox:
The total volume of coke produced by metallurgists in 4 months of 2021 amounted to 2.725 million tons (101.3% compared to the same period in 2020), of which:
- of Ukrainian origin 2.683 million tons (100.3% compared to the same period in 2020).
- imported - 0.042 million tons (280% relative to January - April 2020).
The share of imported coke in the total supply for 4 months of 2021 amounted to 1.54% versus 0.56% in January-April 2020.
Imported scrap metal:
In January-April 2021, 1,187 thousand tons of scrap metal were procured (130.1% compared to the same period in 2020), of which 1,100 thousand tons (122.1% relative to January-April 2020) were supplied to Ukrainian consumers as imported. Exports of scrap metal in January-April 2021 amounted to 87 thousand tons (750% compared to the same period in 2020).
