The largest metallurgical enterprise of the Republic of Kazakhstan "ArcelorMittal Temirtau" in the spring of this year improved production performance and improved the quality of metal products.
"The enterprise reached the maximum production of sheet products - 42 thousand tons of products per month were produced by specialists sheet-rolling shop No. 1. As far back as in March of this year, the employees of Rolling Shop No. 1 were tasked with increasing the shipment of sheet products from 30 to 42 thousand tons of sheet products. Almost the entire plant joined in the implementation. The sliding on sheet products was increased, therefore, the loading of cutting units increased. It was possible to achieve the maximum indicators for the output of the first grade: both in rolls and in sheets, in the future it is planned to continue working on improving the quality. Over the past 10 years, for the first time, this indicator has been increased in such a volume.
..Rolling Shop No. 1 produces hot-rolled steel, rolling stock for cold shops, as well as sheet products. In previous months, the team has increased the quality indicators of its products. In sheet-rolling shop No. 1, as well as in other shops and divisions, the modernization of the working process and equipment continues. ..Thus, new overhead cranes were purchased for the sheet finishing department, the replacement of which will reduce the downtime of the units and increase the shipment of the shop. Currently, restoration work is being carried out on Pratzen crane No. 25, a second stage is planned to replace overhead cranes in the department, as well as in the future, the installation of a new cutting unit for sheet products. This will improve the reliability of equipment, increase production and product quality,” the company’s press service informs.
