The plant annually exports to the European market about 120,000 tons of rolled steel.

“With the resumption of production in industrial sectors, the demand for steel products is growing, given the variety of industries in which steel is used as a raw material - oil and gas, automotive and agricultural machinery, construction. The recovery in international orders is also felt in the number of new orders we received in a relatively short period of time, as Donalam is the only manufacturer of hot rolled steel sections in the country. The challenge for now is to meet this high demand, so we are focused on recruiting to increase our production and production capacity, ”said Enrico Deganello, Donalam plant director.

Donalam has over 270 employees making it one of the largest employers in Calarasi. The company is currently investing over € 11 million to modernize a rolling mill at the steel mill.
