At the Kedrovskoye coal mine of JSC "UK" Kuzbassrazrezugol "(an enterprise of the raw materials complex of UMMC), a diesel-hydraulic machine MP-200 manufactured by IZ-KARTEX (part of the UZTM-KARTEX Group) was put into pilot operation.
The rig is designed for drilling vertical and inclined blast holes in open-pit mining of coal deposits. This is the first domestic sample of diesel-hydraulic roller cutters of the middle class.
“Testing will last three months, all this time the plant designer will be here,” comments Evgeny Borisenko, General Director of Kuzbassrazrezugol-Vzryvprom LLC. - Technical support during the tests will be provided by New Technologies of Western Siberia LLC. We hope for positive results and productivity not lower than similar machines of this class.
The project of the machine was developed by IZ-KARTEX in partnership with New Technologies of Western Siberia LLC, it took several years to create it. The planned productivity of the machine is 25 kilometers of drilled wells per month.
“The test site was not chosen by chance: the coal company has been cooperating with domestic manufacturers of quarry equipment for many years,” emphasizes Roman Smirnov, Deputy Director for Production of Management Company Kuzbassrazrezugol. – For example, all new generation UZTM-IZ KARTEX excavators were tested at Kuzbassrazrezugol enterprises. Working in tandem from technical specifications to launching into commercial operation allows the manufacturer to quickly eliminate the shortcomings of new models, and we get high-performance equipment that fully meets our needs.”
The MP-200 embodies modern design and technological solutions. So, the main and auxiliary mechanisms of the machine are completely hydroficated, which makes it possible to significantly reduce their weight compared to similar units with an electric drive.
“The drilling depth of the MP-200 can reach 56 meters,” notes Stanislav Tikhomirov, chief designer of the project of the IZ-KARTEX Design Directorate. – It is possible to drill not only vertical, but also inclined up to 30 degrees. When designing, we paid special attention to the operator's workplace.
The machine is equipped with an ergonomic cabin with ventilation, heating (including autonomous) and air filtration systems. Vibration protection is provided for the operator, and the precisely calculated arrangement of controls allows the specialist to quickly adapt to the workplace. In the future, the control system of the machine will allow monitoring the drilling process and remote control with feedback.
