The largest environmental investments – over 2.6 billion rubles – will be directed to the modernization and construction of environmental protection facilities in the coke chemical industry.
In 2025, about 1.8 billion rubles more will be allocated for the modernization of the blast furnace production, where it is planned to reconstruct the air heaters of 5 blast furnaces by 2027.
The plans for 2025 also include the processing of 7.5 million tons of current and landfill metallurgical slags. In particular, this will make it possible to use at least 1.8 million tons of waste as secondary material resources in the sintering production batch.
Measures to restore land and preserve biological diversity will continue. In 2025, MMK plans to reclaim 7.0 hectares of the Western Pit of Mount Magnitnaya, and in October, the next stage of filling the Magnitogorsk reservoir will be completed.
