Friday, December 13, in Vienna held another round of bilateral Russian-Ukrainian negotiations on gas. They were attended by the Chairman of the Board of PJSC "Gazprom" Alexey Miller, heads of "Naftogaz of Ukraine", LTD "the Operator of the gas transportation system of Ukraine" and the National Commission, carrying out state regulation in spheres of power and utilities.
Negotiations continued for more than five hours. As told Russian journalists, the Executive Director of "Naftogaz of Ukraine" Yuriy Vitrenko, was reached preliminary agreement.
Earlier in Kiev called the December 13 deadline for a contract on long-term reservation of transit capacity of the gas transportation system of Ukraine. Besides, "Naftogaz" reported about the readiness to establish the headquarters to inform people in the event of termination of transit of gas through Ukrainian territory from January 1, 2020.
on the Eve of the negotiations the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky on Ukrainian TV channel "1+1" announced the presence of "very large percentage" of the fact that the transit agreement will be signed before the end of the year. A similar view was expressed by the Ukrainian Minister of energy Alexey Orzhel. According to him, we can confidently say that Ukraine will have from the beginning of 2020 gas transit, taking into account national interests.
