The hydrogen strategy should be the foundation for the effective development of the hydrogen economy and cooperation between Ukraine and the EU in this area. This was stated by Valeriy Bezus, the Head of the State Energy Efficiency Agency, during a meeting of the Working Group on Hydrogen Technologies and Infrastructure of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Energy, Housing and Utilities.
Valery Bezus informed that on behalf of the Minister of Energy German Galushchenko, a Working Group was created under the Ministry of Energy to develop a hydrogen energy strategy, which is actively working with the participation of relevant ministries, departments, business, experts, scientists.
International partners of Ukraine also provide consulting support.
“Today's meeting is an opportunity to synchronize the efforts of representatives of the legislative and executive branches of government. The hydrogen strategy should lay the foundation on which Ukraine can take its competitive position, successfully develop a new industry and be a strategic partner of the EU, "V. Bezus said.
The EU Hydrogen Strategy, the history of its creation and implementation plans were presented by its co-author, international expert Christian Weinberger. He outlined in detail the key strategy steps and mechanisms for scaling up hydrogen production.
