Currently, the working group of the Ministry of Energy under the leadership of Deputy Minister Yulia Podkomorna is completing the development of the Hydrogen Strategy of Ukraine.

Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Yuliya Pidkomorna presented developments on the development of hydrogen energy during the meeting of the board of Hydrogen Europe, the topic of which was the Hydrogen Strategy of Ukraine.

Despite the war, Ukraine adheres to plans for innovative approaches in the energy sector, in particular, and for the development of hydrogen energy. Europe sees Ukraine as one of the key partners in the future development of hydrogen energy. I am sure that hydrogen will play a key role in the development of a clean, carbon-free economy,” said Yulia Pidkomorna.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy, the working group headed by Yulia Podkomorna is currently completing the development of the Hydrogen Strategy of Ukraine.

The document will become the basis for the implementation of an effective state policy for handling hydrogen on the basis of EU strategic documents. The strategy will provide for the prospects for the creation and operation of the infrastructure for the main transportation of hydrogen, the creation of a hub for the storage of hydrogen and its transportation by water, rail and freight.

The participants of the meeting highly appreciated the Ukrainian developments in the Hydrogen Strategy. They proposed to continue the dialogue on the development of the document and its further implementation in accordance with European standards.

Hydrogen Europe is the leading organization with over 350 companies, 20 EU regions and 30 national associations. The goal of the organization is to achieve global carbon neutrality by accelerating the development of the European hydrogen industry.
