At the end of navigation-2019 "Zaporizhstal" steel works has increased shipments of steel products by river transport by 36% compared to 2018. This year via Zaporizhzhya river port, the plant has shipped to consumers of 905 thousand tons of steel against 674 thousand tons in 2018.
Key factor in the increase of transshipment volumes of the "Zaporizhstal" in Zaporozhye river port has been the development of coastal shipping. In 2019, about 240 thousand tons of steel products of the plant were sent to the seaports of Black sea and Odessa on the river. Earlier delivery of hire in the terminals was carried out by rail.
Recall "Zaporizhstal" resumed strategic partnership with Zaporizhzhya river port in October 2012. During this period, the "Zaporizhstal" steel works shipped to consumers from around the world via Zaporizhzhya river port about 4.6 million tons of steel products.
