Ukraine and PJSC "Gazprom" signed a settlement agreement initiated by the Russian company in international arbitration in the case of obligations to Gazprom to pay about $ 7.4 billion in penalty from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU), said the Deputy Minister of justice of Ukraine Ivan Lyschina.

"Ukraine and Gazprom have signed the settlement agreement in investment arbitration. Details of the agreement I can not reveal because it is confidential, but it is important that Russia withdraws its demands, and we do not violate his own rule not to enter into a settlement agreement in investment arbitration, according to which Ukraine would have to pay the investor any compensation," he wrote on his page on the social network Facebook.

Lyschina noted that the signing of the agreement opens the way for the long-term contract on transportation of natural gas between Naftogaz and Gazprom.

He illustrated his post with the signatures of the parties. From Ukraine is signed by Minister Denis Maluski, from Gazprom – Deputy CEO of PJSC Elena Burmistrova.

"Still waiting for good news from Vienna. Hope it won't be long", - concluded Lyschina.
