Ukrainian Center for Steel Construction (USSS) and Ukrainian Institute of Steel Structures named after V.M. Shimanovsky prepared first edition of DSTU , which aims to achieve a more balanced use of natural resources in new construction, major repairs, reconstruction, as well as projects for the elimination of structures.
The implementation of the new standard, as conceived by its developers, will help to save natural resources in the field of construction and preserve the environment, as well as help lengthen the life cycle of buildings and structures.
The new standard will be applied in the design, construction, operation and liquidation of buildings and structures and in the handling of construction waste generated during the production, storage, storage, transportation of construction materials and products, construction and installation works, as well as during dismantling and demolition of buildings and structures.
The development is aimed at achieving a more balanced use of natural resources in new construction, major repairs, reconstruction, as well as projects (justifications) for the elimination of structures.
