Entrepreneurs agree with Ukrzaliznytsya an action plan to continue modernization

The Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (USPP) warned that due to the decision of the Supervisory Board of Ukrzaliznytsia there is a threat that as a result of uncoordinated decisions around the structural reform of the company, this process will be suspended, including the separation of the vertical cargo transportation of UZ Cargo ".

USPP, representing the interests of manufacturers and exporters, for whom it is important to improve the quality and transparency of tariffs for transportation, reacted harshly to this situation and achieved an intensification of the dialogue in the triangle between the government and the Management Board and the Supervisory Board of Ukrzaliznytsia.

“We are convinced that the government and parliament, where the corresponding Temporary Investigative Commission on UZ operates, should take a responsible state position and resume joint cooperation as soon as possible,” stressed the President of the USPP Anatoly Kinakh.

On March 5, a joint meeting of the USPP and the leadership of Ukrzaliznytsia will take place, at which the parties will agree on an action plan for 2021.

“We are tuned in to a civilized dialogue in this situation. A joint action plan for industrialists and UZ for 2021 will be approved. It will provide for measures to modernize rolling stock, the degree of wear and tear of which reaches 80%, the maximum involvement of Ukrainian industry in these processes through localization and import substitution. The issues of tariff and pricing policy will also be considered. In particular, from now on, under each decision to change tariffs there will be feasibility studies, forecast of the impact of prices on the competitiveness of exporters, etc. ", - said Anatoly Kinakh.

He also said that in a telephone conversation with Mr. Shevka Ajuner received assurances from the Supervisory Board to support the partnership aimed at further reform of Ukrzaliznytsia.
