Since the beginning of the year, the Mariupol Metallurgical Plant Azovstal of the Metinvest Group has mastered four new types of products and produced sheet products with increased strength properties for the Egyptian pipe plant IPIC.
Among the new types of rolled metal products are 100 mm thick plates used in construction made of S355-6 steel according to GOST 27772-2015 and 60 mm thick plates made of S355J2W steel according to EN 10025-5. The metallurgists also set up the production of sheet metal 30-44 mm thick from S550Q steel, and 220 mm slabs from HSLA 35 (DS0006A) steel.
Especially for the Egyptian customer, we worked out the chemical composition of steel, the technology of production and rolling of sheet products. From different grades of steel, the production of slabs with a thickness of 60 and 100 mm, sheet metal with a thickness of 30-44 mm and slabs with a thickness of 220 mm has been set up.

An Egyptian company also received an order for the production of sheet metal with individual characteristics - the client put forward a number of additional high requirements for the yield strength and strength, the proportion of the viscous component on impact samples and during drop weight tests.
The independent inspection of BUREAU VERITAS accepted the manufactured metal products without any remarks both in terms of surface and quality, as well as mechanical tests. On time, the order of high complexity was completed - the metal was shipped to the customer and arrived at the port of destination.
