Specialists of the APCS bureau of the Information Technology Division of PJSC "DNEPROSPETSSTAL" have implemented an important project to modernize the software and server equipment of the automated system for technical metering of electricity SPC-2.
The project allows you to keep an automated account of the use of electricity in the steelmaking shop. In particular, the ability to summarize energy consumption for the billing period, generate, display on a computer and print data for any period of time by consumer groups, compare consumption with previous days, and so on. In addition, the system provides archiving of energy consumption values for five years.
During the modernization, the bureau's specialists optimized the polling of electricity meters and collecting data from them, as well as restructuring the data warehouse. The transition to a modern database management platform and their transfer to a new server helped to improve the reliability of collection and storage security of technological information.
In addition, Dniprospetsstal residents have developed a web application that allows any specialist of the plant to receive analytical data from the system according to the authority. All you need to do is have a browser on your personal computer.
The advantages of the new system have already been appreciated by the specialists of the second steelmaking shop. Due to its wide capabilities, efficiency, ease of use, the system allows you to quickly make management decisions, rationally use energy resources and optimize the operation of the technological equipment of the Enterprise.
Based on the results of operation, new ideas were proposed for scaling the ASTUE SPC-2 to other production units.
