Ukraine will adjust plans towards European integration in the energy sector

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, represented by the Deputy Minister of Energy for European Integration Yaroslav Demchenkov, sent a letter to the EU Delegation in Ukraine with a proposal to send a mission to the country to assess the implementation of the energy Annex XXVII.

Following the results of the 5th meeting of the Association Council between Ukraine and the EU in 2018, Annex XXVII to the Association Agreement was updated, and today we can talk about significant progress in its implementation, the Ministry of Energy noted.

“Ukraine is stepping up its efforts to implement reforms in the energy sector, as well as in addressing climate challenges. Also, work continues on synchronization with the European Green Deal. The main goal is to integrate the energy markets and energy systems of Ukraine with the energy markets of the EU. The assessment will make it possible to correct the data and general plans in the direction of European integration in the energy sector, ”the Ministry of Energy said in a press release.
