The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine appealed to state banks with a request to issue loans to OJSC "Centerenergo" for the purchase of the necessary stock of coal for the heating season. This was discussed during a meeting that took place on Friday, August 20, chaired by Energy Minister German Galushchenko.
According to the ministry, today OJSC "Centerenergo" does not have the financial ability to provide a sufficient supply of coal for the stable passage of the heating season at its own expense.
“For a stable passage of the heating season, we need well-coordinated cooperation of all government agencies. Especially this year, when we have to work in isolation. Therefore, we count on the support of state-owned banks in providing special lending conditions for the timely purchase of coal by the generation, ”emphasized Herman Galushchenko.
The meeting was attended by First Deputy Energy Minister Yuriy Vlasenko, Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine Dmitry Sennichenko, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank Sergey Nikolaychuk, Board Member of JSC Oschadbank Alexey Volochkov, Chairman of the Board of JSC Ukreximbank Yevhen Metzger, representatives of JSC Centrenergo ".
