In the pellet production shop No. 2 of SevGOK, the LURGI 552 A roasting machine continues to implement a large-scale project to replace electrostatic precipitators. Three state-of-the-art gas treatment plants are already operating in the heating and aspiration sections. Metinvest allocated over UAH 340 million for the implementation of the project in 2020.
The goal of the project is to minimize gas emissions during the production of pellets. For this purpose, six modern electrostatic precipitators will be built at the Center # 2. They will be located in the drying, heating and aspiration areas.
One of the electrostatic precipitators with a smoke exhauster will perform the function of a "replacement" during the period of alternate replacement of equipment, thus, in the production of metallurgical raw materials, purification devices will operate at all emission sources. In addition, the construction of new filters will not affect the technological process and will be carried out without stopping production. All operating parameters - temperature, volume of incoming gases, pressure - are controlled by the control and automation system, with the help of sensors it transmits information to the operator's display.
In the pellet production workshop No. 2, the technical re-equipment of the purification system at the limestone and bentonite crushing site is also carried out, with the installation of two bag filters. A similar project is being prepared for implementation in the building for loading pellets into railway cars. A cyclone and a bag filter will be built here. After aspiration, the new equipment will reduce dust emissions to 20 mg /m 3 .
Recall that over 10 months of this year, over 20 hectares of dusty surfaces of the tailing dump were fixed at Severny GOK. For dust and gas suppression in industrial operation during massive explosions in quarries, a peat hydroxide reagent is used. The enterprise systematically carries out measures to combat dust in quarries and Ternovsky district - watering technological roads and slaughtering, central streets adjacent to the outer borders of the enterprise's sanitary protection zone. In November, tree planting began on an area of 10 hectares in the sanitary protection zone, near the Pervomaisky quarry.
