Porsche sales in the Ukrainian market reached a record high of 721 cars, which is 34% more than in 2020 (562 cars), according to message of the company. Before the pandemic, in 2019 and 2018, Ukrainians bought 573 and 569 cars from the German luxury manufacturer, respectively.
Separately, Porsche noted the high level of sales of electric sports cars in Ukraine.
“The overall result is quite encouraging and shows that the strategy of further electrification of our fleet is working and meets the demand and benefits of our customers,” the company said.
In total, Porsche delivered 301,915 vehicles to customers worldwide in 2021, up 11% from 2020. The largest sales growth was recorded in the Americas, while China continues to be Porsche's biggest market.
Despite the problems caused by the lack of semiconductors and the unstable situation with the coronavirus, we were able to realize the dream of our own Porsche for more customers than ever before, said Detlev von Platen, Member of the Executive Board responsible for sales and marketing at Porsche AG. “Demand is still strong and our order book is full. That is why we start 2022 with enthusiasm and confidence – in all regional markets.”
