On the Mariupol metallurgical plant Azovstal iron & steel works completed the renovation of the mill "1040" in the rail fasteners shop. As told in the press service of the factory refurbished unit tested and ready for release the first 1.3 thousand tons. Investments amounted to more than UAH 8 million.
the Camp, "1040" designed for rolling of steel billets with a diameter of 100-120 mm and production of grinding balls. Overhaul of the mill was launched at the end of last year and ended in late July.
During this time the specialists of Contracting organizations has replaced the quenching drum with a drive, a sectional refractory lining of furnace No. 2 and the elements of the collector of the main drive. Repaired metal oblique conveyor with replacement of units and parts, activating the equipment and engine of the main drive of the mill.
Upgraded key components of the mill, one of which gear TSO-900, is designed to change the torque of the main line of the mill. Installed a new coil batchfile from the first to the sixth area. Repaired the chimney height of 30 meters.
Grinding balls used in mining, coal industry, construction industry (e.g. in cement production) in other sectors – in equipment of ball mills as grinding bodies in the grinding of materials by impact, abrasion and crushing.
For the production of balls used the method of cross-helical rolling, when the original round billet after heating in a furnace to a predetermined temperature is fed to ball mill where it is crimped rolls with screw gauges, rotating in the same direction.
