In June 2021, the Zaporizhstal metallurgical plant produced 340.2 thousand tons of pig iron, which is 7.1% less than in June 2020; 329.2 thousand tons of steel were smelted (+ 6% by June 2020); 278.0 thousand tons of finished rolled products were produced (+ 6.8% by June 2020).
The decrease in pig iron production in June 2021 compared to the same period last year at the plant was explained by the commissioning of blast furnace No. 4 after a major overhaul.
From January to June 2021, Zaporizhstal produced 2,184.2 thousand tons of pig iron, 1 987.7 thousand tons of steel, 1,685.0 thousand tons of finished steel.
In 2020, the Zaporizhstal metallurgical plant produced 4,470.6 thousand tons of pig iron, 3,783.7 thousand tons of steel, 3,203.9 thousand tons of finished rolled products.
