Today, during the plenary session of the tenth session of the city council of Mariupol, the deputies unanimously supported the appeal to the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine. The document states that the problems with logistics are obstacles to the development of the city.
Residents of the city have repeatedly written petitions on this issue. According to the secretary of the city council Ksenia Sukhova, more than 2 thousand citizens have already supported the latest petition "High-quality rail transportation for Mariupol".
“The city council receives many complaints from residents and guests of our city. Traveling to Mariupol means old and rusty wagons, more than a day on the way, lack of air conditioning, as well as elementary comfortable and safe travel conditions, ”the appeal says.
The appeal suggests:
- to send new and modern cars to the Mariupol direction and completely write off the emergency rolling stock of the Mariupol - Lviv train. And also to replace old cars on other directions from Mariupol;
- to reduce the number of hours spent on the road in all directions through high-quality repair of the railroad track;
- restore forgotten routes, in particular, Mariupol-Kharkiv;
- start implementing the Intercity launch project.
“Thanks to the residents for their active position on the issue of railway communication. For our city, this will open up new opportunities for comfortable movement around the country. I am sure that the Ministry of Infrastructure will hear the voice of our residents, ”said Vadim Boychenko.
