Global crude steel production for the 64 countries reporting to the world steel Association (worldsteel), in February 2020 amounted to 142.4 million tonnes, which is 2.1% more compared to February 2019.

For the first two months 2020 world steel production increased year-on-year by 0.7% to 293,084 million tons.

In the EU, Italy produced 2.0 million tons of steel in February 2020, which is 0.1% more than in February 2019. France produced 1.2 million tonnes of steel in February 2020, which is 1.3% less than in February 2019.

the United States produced 7.2 million tonnes of steel in February 2020, increasing the rate of 3.0% compared to February 2019.
