European Commission approved package of state support to Dutch airline KLM in the amount of 3.4 billion euros to provide urgent liquidity of the company in the context of the outbreak of coronavirus.
Support will be provided in the form of a state guarantee for loans granted by consortium of banks and a subordinated loan provided by the Dutch government.
KLM plays a key role in the economy of the Netherlands from the point of view of employment and of air traffic, - noted in the European Commission.
