Zaporozhye iron ore plant increased iron ore production by 2.3%

Zaporozhye Iron Ore Plant (ZZHRK, Dneprorudnoye, Zaporozhye Region) in January-March 2020 increased the production of iron ore by 2.3% compared to the same period last year - to 1 million 134.6 thousand tons with an iron content in ore 60.86%.

According to the Controlling Department, 1 million 71.9 thousand tons of iron ore raw materials were shipped to metallurgical enterprises in the three months of this year. In March, 385.3 thousand tons of ore with an iron content of 60.84% ​​were mined, 402.9 thousand tons of iron ore were shipped.

As reported, ZZHRK in 2019 increased iron ore production by 0.3% compared to 2018 - to 4 million 563.8 thousand tons, the average iron content in ore was 60.87%. In 2019, 4 million 825.4 thousand tons of iron ore were shipped to consumers.

ZZHRK develops the Yuzhno-Bilozerskoye and Pereverzevskoye iron ore deposits, produces marketable sinter and open-hearth iron ore. It sells products to metallurgical enterprises in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria and Poland, as well as in Ukraine - to the metallurgical plant "Zaporizhstal ".

The main shareholders of PJSC are the Slovak company Minerfin, a.s. - 51.1697%, "Zaporizhstal " - 29.5193%, Czech KSK Consulting, a.s. - 19.0632%.
