According to preliminary data from Ukrmetallurgprom, for three months of 2021, Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises reduced steel production by 0.5% compared to the same period last year, to 5.29 million tons.
At the same time, pig iron production in January-March of this year increased by 4.2%, to 5.31 million tons, and finished rolled steel - by 1.2%, to 4.73 million tons.
Recall that in 2020, Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises reduced steel production by 1.4%, to 20.549 million tons. Production of finished rolled products last year increased by 0.7% to 18.344 million tons. At the same time, pig iron production increased by 1.5%, to 20.358 million tons.
