Today, October 14, in the second shift at the mine "Stepnaya " SE "Lvovugol " there was a fire on the horizon 550 m. This was announced by the Chairman of the Confederation of Free Trade Unions of Ukraine, Mikhail Volynets.
Soldiers of the paramilitary mine rescue service are taking all measures to extinguish the fire.
An accident response plan was introduced at the mine. 13 miners who were underground were brought to the surface.
Due to the fact that today in Ukraine is a public holiday Day of the Defender of Ukraine, the mine did not extract coal, but worked in life support mode, there were no casualties.
Mine "Stepnaya " was put into operation in 1978 with a design capacity of 2.4 million tons per year. Located in the village of Glukhov, Sokalsky district, Lviv region.
